Hi,
i recently received my sony sz791 and i dont know how to use the wwan function.
i have a blackberry with rogers and would like to plug the sim card from it into my sz, is this possible and how do i do it?
thanks a lot

I don't think plugging a SIM card into the SZ791 is possible because there is no slot to hold the SIM card. Furthermore, the WWAN of the SZ791 is designed for use with Sprint's services & Sprint don't provide any "GSM type" networks.

i was told upon purchase that i could use evdo service from ppl like bell with it...
so its a no with my rogers edge sim card?>
thanks -
Actually, the SIM card of SZ is removable or at least that is the case with my SZ381P. If you take out the battery, the SIM card slot is visible. You will see it as a white strip on the left of battery connector. Just push it and the SIM card will come out.

I know what you're saying. My SZ381 has it but my SZ791 does not have it.

Rogers is GSM. The SZ791 (NA) has a CDMA/EVDO WWAN card. You cannot use it on Rogers but you *may* be able to use it on the Bell network since it's also CDMA. You have to activate it directly by calling Sprint. I believe it's locked to Sprint.
In other words, there is no SIM card on this WWAN device. -
ok great thanks
so ill go and see bell then,
cause i checked for a sim slot in the battery compartment ...there isnt one.
thanks a lot
