    Hello NBR reader

Yesterday my T150 die on me. It was clearly the hard drive problem because it was making weird noise for awhile ago. My Sony warranty expired so I have to fix it myself. I search on google and it says my T150 uses 1.8 Inch HDD (had no idea I had 1.8 inch).

Does anyone know where I can get 1.8 inch HDD in Canada? I search on google and only found US site selling the hard drive I want (Toshiba MK6006GAH).

    Help me please!

    Thank you in advance.

Try Ebay. Some sellers ship to Canada.

Be advised that the T series used either Toshiba 1.8" drives, or Hitachi 1.8" drives back then. Unfortunately they both have different pin connectors to hook up to the system. Make sure you have a Toshiba HD/Connector in your system before you go and buy one.

Ok I found it on NCIX but I got 1 more question.

Under Toshiba HDD there is 2 different version. One with Zero Insertion Force (ZIF) connector and one without.

How do I know? I scared to rip my T apart.

    Thank you.

I'm upgrading my T160. This is the hard drive I'm using:

    Hitachi TravelStar C4K60 - Hard drive - 60 GB - internal - 1.8" - ATA-100 - 4200 rpm - buffer: 2 MB

The folks at Drivesolutions told me that this Hitachi HD and not the Toshiba is the right one for the T160P.

    I got it from Tech4less for $121.

I keep redirecting people to other forums, sorry notebookreview.

Why don't you also try asking your question at www.siliconpopculture.com/sonytr? They have a forum there dedicated to the Vaio TR, T, TX.

Yeah, the Vaio TRs, Ts and TXs all use 1.8" hard drives like in Ipods and such, versus the 2.5" hard drives in just about every other notebook.
