    Hi all,
If you have a T1XP can you tell me your experiences of owning one.
-Are the keys too small or just right?
-is the screen too small or readable?
-how is it for prolonged use?
-is the graphics chip able to handle any 3D games, e.g NFSU2?
-can you use it on your lap/in bed, how hot does it get?
    etc etc

Any help is appreciated! This is to help me decide if I want to buy the T2XP or not.

    Hi,

Well I bought a T1XP from Dixons last week, and here are what I think.

I have owned a Toshiba Portege R100 so we have 2 very similar types of computers here. The Toshiba has full size keys, but to be honest the difference is so small that it is no worry at all. I am able to type just as quickly and with no difference in the number of mistakes, and although it isn't noticeable, it must be quicker because fingers don't have to move as far!

The screen is lovely. My main reason for owning a laptop is for both internet and e-mail around the house and on the move, and for this it is as good as anything else. Also I use it for travelling so watching films and games, and I have been impressed. The battery is good for at least 3 dvds on full brightness and sound, and to me that is perfect.

I will say that after this much on the trot, it does get pretty hot, to the extent that it is uncomfortable to the knees. The main fan is in the centre of the bottom, so it can run in the gap between your knees and then you barely notice it. But running on table backs on aeroplanes and trains it's no problem at all.

Believe it or not, I can run Underground 2 with relatively decent gfx along with other games like Sims 2, Flight Sim 2004 and others, surprisingly well for the Intel graphics chip. Obviously it's nothing compared to a 256mb X800 or whatever, but pretty good!

I have a T1XP, and so far love it, you are not going wrong if you choose the T2XP.

-Are the keys too small or just right?
    I have no problem typing.

-is the screen too small or readable?
It is readable because the text is very sharp.

-how is it for prolonged use? I can use it for hours on end.

-is the graphics chip able to handle any 3D games, e.g NFSU2?
My T250 can run Midtown Madness, Combat Flight Simulator 2 with no problems. Haven't tried more up to date games though. If you are a hardcore gamer get a bigger laptop.

-can you use it on your lap/in bed, how hot does it get? I do it all the time surfing the internet and it has never bothered me. Just make sure the bottom vent is getting air.

The Verizon card in the pics does a decent job running the broadband video on this link; Continuous smooth broadband with some of the videos here:

Fujitsu also has their new 1.2 Ghz P7010, you may want to check them out. They can be had with faster hard drives but they have no Bluetooth built in. They also have s-video out port, but a smaller keyboard. You can check out it's review as well as the T150 review on CNET:

Thanks for the replies guys! I greatly appreciate your experience and time to reply.
Don't suppose anyone knows FOR SURE if the T2 has DDR1 or DDR2 RAM?
And how about RAM on the S3 series if anyone knows? (answer from manual/bios specs if possible).
