Will a T9300 (2.5GHz) run cooler and extend battery life compared to a T7700 (2.4GHz)?
What about the T9300 compared to the T7500 (2.2GHz) in temperature and batter life?
I'm asking because I'm a very soon-to-be new FZ owner, and I was wondering if the T9000 series (or T8000 series for that matter) was worth the price difference given the current discount on the T7000 series.
Any help? I'd be happy to pay a little more for a processor that ran a big cooler and longer.
TIA

Take a look at this article, it compares Penryn versus Merom. Same CPU clock speed (2.6GHz) in same laptop configuration, just different CPU.
AnandTech Mobile Penryn Benchmark -
While the Productivity results may be a bit extreme, we believe it would be safe to say that the mobile version of Penryn can easily improve battery life on the order of 5 - 10% over an identically configured Merom/Santa Rosa system. Under very specific cases, especially if you’re looking at applications where Penryn is significantly faster than Merom (e.g. SSE4 optimized apps), battery life can improve even more dramatically
Took that from some article.
