    Hi,

I just dropped my vaio tx today, and i have a crack in the lcd. It is about 3 inches horizontally and 2 inches vertically on the middle right of the screen.

I've looked at the replacement LCD - it costs $350 on ebay!!!

Is there a cheaper place I can get one? Or anyone selling a broken TX with a working screen (or just the screen itself)?

    Thanks.

try to search for the screen with its resolution and size, not the notebook model name. Sometimes one can find much better offers for notebook screens than those nanging around on ebay for 300$ prices.

However, with this particular screen it can be really difficult to find a cheaper replacement (some Asus and Twinhead 11" ultraportables are seemingly using the same or similar screen).

Yeah I've searched the exact model number, etc... Still, ebay is the cheapest place. What I am worried about is that I get an LCD with one or two dead pixels, and then I am stuck with it (since sellers have a 3-5 dead pixel policy or none at all!). The computer is still useable, and I won't be replacing the LCD until maybe I find a good deal or until I really feel the need to.

The model number is LTD111EXC (And then there is the revision letter, A, X, or Z) So I'm wondering, is there a difference I buy A,X, or Z? Will they all work on the TX750?

    Thanks in advance.
