This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    I haven't found any comparitive benchmarks, but here is Intel's feature comparison page. Also look at Intel's description of its Core Microarchitecture. Another page has a bunch of Intel engineers talking about the new features.

    Basically, the new processors have more efficient memory and instruction handling, so they should be faster.

    i guess no matter what, the move to a 65nm process will help with power consumption.
