    TX37GP, Protector Suite 5.3 ISSUES

    *btw i have search'd and search'd. they either need to make the search better or come up with a solution to this... T.T

    i upgraded my OS from xp pro to VISTA ultimate.

    everything works good, the volume... the fn keys... because i upgraded instead of doing a clean install.

    HOWEVER! i cannot upgrade to protector suite 5.6 because of my previous 5.3.

    the error is... YOU NEED TO UNINSTALL THE PREVIOUS VERSION FIRST

    when i try to uninstall, it says YOU NEED IE 5.0 or HIGHER

    i have IE 7.0

    some have suggested downloading the 242 mb Protector Suite 5.3 from sony.com and when you install, instead of in install or repair, choose REMOVE.

    i've tried this, but it says THIS IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH YOUR MODEL. because i downloaded from the TXN27 site. There is no TX37GP on the USA sony.com

    my version TX37GP is not on the us SONY.com. it's on the PACIFIC ASIA. i cannot find the suite on that site. that site actually is really really really bad.

    can anyone PLEASE help me. i've been searching and searching, and trying everything. i do not want my fingerprint sensor to go in vain. please help!
