Just received my vista business upgrade for vaio tx850. I would like to upgrade but battery life is my biggest concern and the reason i have this laptop.
Does someone have any sort of reliable/semi-reliable/personal experiences of battery life with the upgrade for tx850 from xp to vista.

    help would be greatly appreciated.

I find that after i did a clean install of vista premium on my tx850..i got more battery life ..at least 30 mins more(i timed it)..and vista..is just awsome!...i've reduced the settings to basic..so it looks like windows 2000 without the aero..and i'm finding that it runs much faster and effiecient..and battery is lasting 25 mins longer

yes battery life does seem to be pretty good, althoguh i think it still needs proper calibration.

i have another question, do you have the wireless switch utility after the upgrade? the little green/blue icon where you could disable bluetooth in xp. i dont have that anymore, and bluetooth si cosntatnlyon even thoguh i barely use it. would like to get those extra minutes of battery by turning it off.
