I have a VGN-TXN15P and internet connection works fine in most places, except for my boyfriends place. He has a Linksys and the internet connection is at the same speed as his laptop with no interruption, but it just downloads and downloads - 5 minutes and I just get impatient. He has no problem on his laptop. Any thoughts out there as it's really a pain. (FYI: I'm use XP)
    Thanks for the help! :)

Bumping just to see if anyone out there has any ideas. If not, I'll just keep working on it.

What type of connection to the Linksys router – wireless (WLAN 802.11b/g) or even network cable?
Especially wifi depends on many things - notebook wireless hardware, wireless driver, signal strength, router hardware, router firmware, encryption and other wifi settings.
I've had my share of problems with different hard- and software on both Windows and Linux.
Installing latest wireless drivers on the notebook and/or latest router firmware helped in many cases.
