    Hi,

I'm planning to get a pair of bluetooth headphone for my TZ and wondering does the Bluetooth in TZ support A2DP?

    Cheers! :)

    Nope, sorry.

Why not take yours into a retailer and try it out yourself?

In modern laptops which support Bluetooth 2.0 EDR, such as the TZ, the issue is not whether the laptop is capable of supporting the profile (it is) it's whether the OS supports the profile.

In the case of Vista A2DP is not supported but then again neither are half the other profiles. The standard Vista bluetooth stack is a POS but you can replace it with the Toshiba bluetooth stack (available from their website) or a hacked Widcomm stack (torrent sites). This will give you all the profiles including A2DP. I hacked my vista install on my Asus R1f using the Widcomm hack method and I could use all the profiles. I dont advise using this method if your not very confident and patient, use the toshiba stack instead. Heres a link to the hacking method as a reference.

Install the Toshiba stack to verify the TZ can avail of it then buy and enjoy your headphones.

Manufacturers do not enable these profiles for market reasons (iPhone) or in Microsofts case because they couldnt bother their lazy fat asses in programming the API to support the profile.
