Hi. I have a Sony Vaio TZ and I was wondering... does everyone's TZ get really high up there for the CPU temperature? I think TZ owners should get SpeedFan and take a look at their CPU temperature and post them up...

Well, you can get SpeedFan here:

    My CPU temperatures are...

    Core0: 60C
    Core1: 61C

Usually it stays around 60c under internet surfing.
It gets up to 74-76 when I do some video conversion.

That's normal.. I used RMclock to set 0,85 V ot all possible CPU speeds, and I have 60°C during summer and browsing the internet..

Yes, it showed 60,61c just surfing, and gets higher on more intensive work. It is so hot that I cannot use it on my lap. Anyway, I have returned it. BTW, Coretemp is a better utility which showed more info than speedfan.

May be my unit was defective that it gets so hot on my lap. The thin plastic cover sheet on the back and also the transparent sheet covering the Intel logo on the left side of the keyboard starts to peel off.
