    Hi,

I have a few questions here about clean install Vista in my new TZ:

    1. When I do the Vista clean install, if I just borrow a Vista DVD from friend and use the Vista Business product key which come with my machine from Sony (sticker underneath the machine), will that product key work?

    2. After the clean Vista installation using that product key (provided it works), do I need to re-activate my Vista with MS? If so, how that works?

I want to give a clean Vista install for my TZ but don't want to splash money to purchase another full version of Vista, and thought that if the product key would work that will actually save me some $$$.

I'm sorry if this question has been answered before, but I would be very thankful if someone here can give me some advice regading this! :)

    Many thanks!

Babydarklord, I've seeing your answers in many threads, and most don't make sense, can you stick to relevant answers to the questions? Thanks. :)

...and end with a lot of exclamation marks.

    1. Yes, it should.

    2. You will. It's not that hard to do, and normally only requires a phone call where they will give you another "key" to activate your install.

I know that it's appreciated, Babydarklord. Just keep in mind that there's nothing wrong with not knowing the answer to a question, too. :)

By the way, does anyone know where I can download a copy of the Vista installation DVD? I have the product key which comes with my TZ but just need the DVD for the installation.

    kkhauw,

You can't. There is no place to download it.
