has anyone had success doing a dual boot with iatkos and winxp on their tz?
i installed it without problems but keep getting the "chain booting error"...
i've done everything right from all the research but still can't figure out the problem. tried making the mac partition primary, windows partition primary, reinstalling darwin bootloader, etc... just can't get it to work.
anyone else have any luck or suggestions...

Hey Jbritt,
I tried that iAtkos thing, got a boot error, and read that i might have a MBR problem. then i played around, and finally, lost everything i had - vista, and all my programs installed.
So then, got fedup of the iAtkos, reinstalled Vista, and now all back to normal. -
iAtkos and installing Mac OS X on PC's is illegal. And since we do not talk about piracy or other illegal activities on this forum, a mod should close this thread.

I agree with jurisprudence. However, it might be worth pointing out that the legality of it is worth debating. If I remember correctly, the user agreement for a legal copy of OSX asks to install it on an apple-branded piece of hardware, which does not imply that it is "apple-made" or even branded by apple people. As long as it clearly advertises its "apple" connection, it should be ok. In fact I think I read recently of a company which is starting to ship PCs with OSX installed on them. I assume they are running on those assumptions, Apple might do something about it, or not. After all, as long as the hardware is compatible, and the software is legally purchased, it seems hard to believe the combo is not legal as well. Especially when Windows can be legally installed on a Mac. In any case iatkos works fine on a TZ with vista...

Lol... That's what those Mac stickers that come with your iPod are for.
