This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    TZ model with HSDPA, problems...

    Hi.

    Sony Vaio model TZ20WN (european model) and "globtrotter" (spelling?) HSDPA card. There is a software preinstalled, but that one is for T-mobile network so its not working with the rest. We installed some software from "globtrotter" and its working. The OS is VISTA.

    But the problem is, that after some time the connection to mobile provider is lost. It can be 10 minutes, or 30..it depends. The signal is strong, almost 100% and its the same and variable operators. Also it does not matter if we use EDGE/GPRS or UMTS/HSDPA network...

    There is no update on sony vaio page...

    Is there anybody here that would know what to do?
