    Hi i have a UK Vaio TZ31WN and i want to swap the 100gb 4200 rpm hd for a fast state solid drive. Can anyone give me a link for what type of ssd i need, i am in the UK so if you could try and give a link to where to buy one from.

    Unless you know what you are doing, don't even attempt. Unless you plan on bringing it to a computer shop.

    I would say get the 32GB OCZ Core, it's sata II reads at about 100mb a second and writes at just about 90mb a second.

    If you want to replace the existing HDD with a SSD, a SATA drive will NOT work. You will need a ZIF socket PATA 1.8" drive. I believe Samsung makes the ones that Sony puts in at the factory.
