    where to get rubber thingies that are glued to the lid? I already lost 2!

    :p... "rubber thingies". That made me chuckle. it would help if you gave us your laptop model. If you want to be cheap, I'm sure you can easily make your own out of some rubber and glue. You can check your local crafts store.

    Something like these might be what you need. They stick really well and you can reduce the thickness with a sharp craft knife.
