My TZ2500 is maxed out in RAM at 2GB. Is this really it? Does anyone know if there is a trick, hack, or mod that will allow me to up the RAM?

I know I only have one module port, so adding more modules is out. But, if I add a larger GB module, is there something in the BIOS that won't allow the laptop to detect it or use it?

I love this laptop, but why on earth Sony didn't build it with 4GB of RAM, I have no idea!!!

Does it have a single memory socket ? I guess so because it comes with a ULV CPU....

4GB module might be supported, but the module is expensive, and the chipset, though it does support 4GB in total (basically 2GB per slot), it will not address the whole 4GB due to the 32-bit architecture....

LOL . Dont think i would trust any ram with a name gskillet . I would suggest doing some research before spending the cash on a 4gb stick . The pc may not even boot with 4gb.

It may not boot. But if the OP is desperate, he/she can try out a 4GB module from Crucial/G.Skill, and buy from a retailer who accepts returns. But the whole 4GB won't be available.
