just wondering if anyone that ordered a TZ2xx series from Sony had gotten a shipping notification yet. I think they were supposed to be available today. Although I see the tz298 is already on backorder.

Yup. It's shipping. Already many of my customers have received theirs. Though I do still have a couple TZ298's on backorder.

Cam anyone specifically tell me what has changed from the TZ1 series to the 2 series?

It changed slightly the CPU: From 1.2 ghz goes to 1.33 in the TZ2xx models.
Another change is about the webcam: From 0.3 mp goes to 1.3 mp.
Unfortunately this was the only features that changed. Anyone knows something more?
Maybe a TZ2 owner could make a review. I don't know if the SSD changed, but I don't think so.

    Good - I am glad I only paid $1200 for my TZ130!
