Probably not going to happen within that time frame. Didn't Sony already say that the TZ would not have Santa Rosa? I remember reading, at least, that it was going to use igma950 gfx...

How is the speed of that thing anyways? Is the ULV CPU any good for multitasking, and HD video?

my understanding is that these ULV systems are great for general business or school use (Office, e-mail, etc.). Anything more than that will run very slow in comparison to standard processors.
What do you mean by HD Video?

its not even announced for the US yet, so you will not see the santa rosa most likely until next year. I'm not sure what you plan to use the laptop for but portability and battery power are the top priorities when it comes to ultraportables, not power and performance.

all dual core cpu's are good for multitasking.

I suggest you read up on this thread http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=123563

Well, I need it for web development, email, and occasional movies (In high def, but not bluray or anything, downloaded).

I plan to run dreamweaver, MS outlook, firefox, and xampp (http development server).

MY biggest concern is the lack of N wireless....

    Also, can it run Aero?

Try a non-ultraportable laptop, but a portable nonetheless (12.1" - 13.3"). These laptops will have either low-voltage (NOT ultra low-voltage, which Santa Rosa doesn't have a processor for yet), or regular voltage processors. A lot of these laptops are being refreshed with Santa Rosa, and more importantly, DX10 technology.

    - Lenovo Thinkpad X61 (GMA X3100)
    - Dell XPS M1330 (Geforce 8400M GS)
    - Sony SZ Santa Rosa refresh (Geforce 8400M G)

are just some of the 12.1"-13.3" laptops that have come out that support some type of Santa Rosa technology. Expect a lot more laptops coming in the next two months. But no, Sony will definitely not update the TZ90 to Santa Rosa in the next few months, because (A) it was just released, and (B) no ultra-low voltage processor exists for the Santa Rosa platform yet.

Of course thats a 15.4" vs 11.1" notebook, HUGE difference. Don't hold your breath for a Santa Rosa ultraportable for a while, Intel doesn't have plans soon for ULV Santa Rosa chips. For instance, the upcoming Toshiba Protege R500 is also Napa. A CNET review I think said it can handle HD video quite well.

Im quite curious about the battery sizes as well. If I were to get this, Id get the standard/extended option. Are there any comparison pictures between the different sizes?

Outrigger, do you mind posting some real world pictures? Can it run Aero?

Yes it can run Aero 100% fine, no problems. He doesn't have the TZ yet.

    Here's some small pics.

In Japan, you have the option of getting an all English keyboard
and some online sellers will install the English version of the OS.
