    Assuming you break nothing, your warranty remains intact. You break one thing, its accidental damage and you will be charged for whatever is wrong with computer whether your fault or not. Once you pay for an accidental damage repair, it reverts to being back under warranty.

    yea repairing a harddrive shouldnt void warranty, but thats with most computers who have easy access to harddrive. The SZ may be an exception

    Take your time and don't rush. Have all the proper tools before you start. Keep your work area organized and uncluttered during the procedure. Don't force anything during disassembly or reassembly. Be gentle and everything should be fine.
