No warranty issue removing them...I'd suggest a finger nail+some goo-gone or rubbing alcohol to remove the residue. (just be sure to test on an inconspicuous area first)

Rip those suckers off. Whenever I get a new computer, all stickers get removed before even powering the thing on. So tacky!

As far as the residue goes, I always pry off the stickers, and then use the back of the sticker to gum off any leftover residue. An old trick that buyers of cassette tapes and CDs will likely remember. ;)

Of course those stickers on the palm rest can be ripped off.... it will definitely not void your warranty..... even the Sony warranty states that external (cosmetic) damages are not covered!

Ahh...this topic again. Elizabex's suggestion works like a champ. Use the back of one of your stickers to remove any sticky junk from your PC. DO NOT USE SOLVENTS.

Some of the stickers can be an absolute pain to remove. For example, the Intel Centrino Duo one, takes quite a while to remove, because it has some really strong adhesive on it. Take pwaggs' advice, and don't use solvents, as they may damage the finish on the notebook.

Yes. Follow this advice & you'll be glad you did. I have also used their suggestions on the taking off of stickers on some other stuff & it worked like a champ! I'll also add in a further suggestion. If you still have trouble getting all those sticky stuff on the palm rest because the "glue" in the stickers has gone off... grab a roll of duck tape & use the sticky part of the duck tape to "stick out" the sticky residue still left on the palm rest... This always works as well.
