Still looking for best color balance on my FW HiColor screen. Right now I am using and having good results with what Jay posted although I keep overall keyboard screen brightness adjustment at max. What are some of your adjustments on HiCorlor screen? On thing still disappointing to me about this laptop is light leakage compared to my old dv8000t. However, this laptop performs so well in every other way that I will not return it but maybe at some point approach Sony about the leakage issue. Otherwise, what a smooth running laptop. Here are settings again Jay posted and what I am using. Again, what settings are you using and how are they working for you in ATI color settings. This helps me a lot since my vision is very poor and thanks.

    Red Gamma 0.95
    Red Brightness -20
    Blue Gamma 0.95
    Blue Brightness -20
    Green Gamma 0.95
    Green Brightness -32

    All Contrast: 108
    Red Brightness: -8
    Green Brightness: -18
    Blue Brightness: -8
    Saturation: 118

Because of my poor vision, I am not seeing Color Saturation setting. Can you please tell me where that is and thank you much and for your input. I will try that.

I saw saturation setting under Aivo for video settings but I guess I should have been clearer. I am manly concern with the adjustments under Color, not Avivo at this point - settings that would involve photos and documents and everyday workflow. Thanks again.

There is another saturation setting under Notebook Panel Properties > Avivo Color. This setting is for regular desktop activity, not video.

Using roninwz's suggestions above, I also dropped LCD brightness to 96% via Vaio Control Center Power option settings and I put brightness at 60% for battery. Dropping the LCD brightness just slightly helped my picture when plugged in not to be so bright but still quite bright and vivid.
