    Hi all,

    I keep getting a sub standard performance on my new sony vaio z690 on its speed setting. Was wondering if anyone else with the same laptop can test some of the 2D applications i have especially had toruble with.

    1) A .avi or mpeg file with a divx/xvid decoder. Can folks check if they encounter any flickering when running it on media player classic?
    2) any Popcap game: (bejeweled/plants vs zombies/etc.) The popcap logo at the start of the game is all jagged and not smooth.(free demo install at: http://www.popcap.com/games/pvz).

    I am at my wits end and have done everything to try and fix htis issue. Hoping that others have this problem as well and not something isolated to my machine. (stamina mode actually renders all this well and i have zero issues on that mode)
