The $100 Price Reduction

For those of you who have asked/recieved this, did the reduction affect the final price that you were charged (took effect instantly) or is it more like a rebate type of deal?

you may want to reference Sonystyle or something when you ask a question like " when ordering from sonystyle it says $100 off, do I get the $100 off when building purchasing or as a rebate?"

it is applied during the whole build process. It starts $100 off...you dont get anything after the fact.

 

That is my fault, didn't think it was necessary to mention SonyStyle. So you asked for the deduction i am assuming? Looks like i'll have to call them, since the deduction was not reflected in my final bill.

 

are you referring to the 100 credit you get after your first purchase using the sony style card? if so, my account was credited on my seconds months bill.

 

No it's a price reduction that you ask for when you order over the phone (and in store too?).

That first saving, i asked my phone rep and she said i would get it. Though i asked for the student package also afterwards (which i read some people couldn't get both?) so i'm not sure what happened but it didn't show up in my final price. Guess i'll just have to call and see.

 

In my initial purchase from Sony Style, I requested the "student package" and also the $100 discount. The Sony rep told me I could have one or the other but not both. So did you get the "student package" or not?

 

Yah i did, but she never told me i couldn't stack them and went on with the order without a hitch.

 

Be careful with those reps. They are trying to make the sell and you have no idea what the order is until the confirmation comes in.

By the way, the 100 price reduction that they advertise is only valid off the bat on certain models and is shown in a special color on the website. The 100 reduction by phone is something "special" that has to be asked which can be applied to all models. Their is a post on here that somebody got 200 bucks off and gave the extension number for the rep. Forgot who posted it though....sorry.
