My device manager says its a Hitachi HTS723232L9SA60

Windows 7 gives it an experience score of 5.9 (the highest score on there for my SR is 6.2, for the T9550 (2.66GHz) processor.)

Do you think that HDD would be the same for the 4xx SR models?

And if so, could this HDD be replaced with a SATA II?

Well we've both ordered SR490s, so it'll be a race to see who gets his first. I ordered my SR490 with the (seemingly) same 320GB 7200rpm hard drive as my SR390. Frankly, it's quiet, cool, and very fast. I don't need an SSD (for now, at least) but that would be the next logical upgrade in HD for these machines.

I see. When did you order and when is your estimated ship date? I ordered on the 26th and my estimated ship date is the 7th.

    6 more days! =]

Same here but I noticed my AMEX just got a chunk bitten out of the available credit, and Sony usually does that right before they ship...so hopefully it'll come sooner than the 6th! (But probably not due to the holiday)
