Well Sony finally released the Vaio S in the silver casing, the S470, and it has everything I want....EXCEPT built-in bluetooth. Does anybody know, if I were to buy the S470, could I buy seperatly an integrated wireless and Bluetooth component? It is an upgrade option on the S480, so I would imagine they just swap components so why couldn't I do this myself on the S470. If this is not possible, has anybody heard if Sony will allow a customizable silver casing?

It is possible to install Bluetooth yourself. I am not sure if there is an updated version with all the component numbers you need for the S470 yet, but several people had done so with their S1xx or S2xx. Check the below link:

Thank you. This means that there is hope, great material and great tutorial! I just need to make sure the part numbers would be the same. How would I go about this process, and what are the chances of the parts being/fitting differently?

The best way is probably call the Sony Part Direct Purchase (or whatever it is called) and ask them to find the parts for you or ask them to sell you a copy of the service manual for S4xx, then find the part number in the manual.

If you can buy the service manual, you are gold because it has all the part numbers and actual placement of the parts.
