sorry for starting so many threads, but i'm scared if theres anything wrong with the laptop after spending 3100 au on it.

i've looked at the laptop all over, my spacebar is fine, but the keyboard looks wrong especially on the right, the gap between the keys and the side of the laptop looks huge :/ i can fit chopstick in there vertically.

My older laptops never had such a big gap!!! you can fit so many small things in there that it scares me.

Is this normal for the SZ series laptop?

Don't worry about it. A friend of mine just bought one, after noticing the gap I personally took him to the shop to return it. The manager showed us 3 other szs and they all had the same gap. This is totally normal. Great machine by the way.

Mine has the same gap as well. Seems that the robot that does the assembly needs adjustment.

My SZ450 also has the gap, but I don't consider that disturbing. :)

Enjoy your new toy and don't get annoyed to much. After all, there is no perfect laptop yet. ;)

That gap has been there on both my SZ340 and my current SZ360.

It was bigger on the 340, mostly due to sloppy customer service. ;)

    Dear Guys,

I'm about to purchase sz450n/c model at Turkey. What are your sights about this product, i'll use this machine all day at office and nights at home. For three years i am using 15,4'' screeen. Hope it'll not downsize me?

    How is it's performance?

OP: I have seen a lot of SZ's and never quite seen one with a gap like that! I say it's unusual to say the least.

Speaking of the keyboard, I've read that the SZ keyboard is not that great to type on.

Any truth to that? How good or bad is it really?

I really like it. For a 13" notebook it has big keys. The whole width of the laptop is used for the keyboard which is great. Keys are also quite deep. Try before you buy if you are unsure :)

I actually really like it but compared to my old Lifebook S6210... this key board if REALLY SQUISHY... that's the best way for me to describe it anyway.

I actually really like the SZ keyboard --- and like it more and more as I continue to use it. I find that returning to desktop keyboards makes my hands/fingers tired much quicker in comparison. :)

If you're not getting a lemon -- the SZ keyboard is pretty nice. Has a wonderful feel and just the right about of preasure is required to type.

    I love it.

Is there a high percentage of lemons being reported?
