    VPCZ1290S

Which screen resolution do you have?

Aren't your stuck pixels covered under warranty since you have so many? I can deal with dead pixels, especially on a high res, high density screen, but stuck pixels would drive me NUTS. I'd try and get Sony to replace the screen and, failing that, I'd actually just buy a brand new screen...yes, stuck pixels bother me THAT much. :)

Sent the Laptop back and got a VPC-EB1Z0E/B, which I think is better as it doesn't seem much if at all slower, looks better and it doesn't have a buzzing sound coming from the bottom of the screen, no annoying intermittent fan noise, bezel fits better around the screen(screen is basically the same screen, apart from it is glossy and not semi glossy, both listed as Digital Flat Panel, under Device Manager). The F11 series suffered from overheating problems, which I put down to the Nvidia Graphics Card.

Which VAIO model do you have?
    VPC-Z122GX/B, bought in Canada

Which screen resolution do you have?
    1600x900

Do you have a dead / stuck pixel?
    no

I don't think there's much difference between pixel chance between any of the big companies (Sony, Apple, HP, etc.), it's just people's perceptions that differ based on insufficient anecdotal evidence.

They should do some studies, like buy 1000 laptops from each company and then compare. :)
