    Hello, i'm French..
The problem is: The fan of my VAIO is making a lot of noise.
I have read the FAQ's/Knowledge section of http://www.vaio-link.com/ and find this answer:
    ---------------------
    Solution:

    NOTES:

Please bear in mind that a fan is a mechanical device and that it is normal for it to make some noise. However, it is possible on certain VAIOs to reduce the noise.
Please note that reducing the noise will also decrease the performances of your VAIO.
First try the following solution (which does not apply to every VAIO model):

    Restart your VAIO.
Press F2, when you see the Sony Logo.
In the BIOS, select Power with the arrow keys.
Select Thermal Control Strategy and press ENTER.
    Select Silence.
Press F10 and then ENTER to save the changes and exit.
If the above option is not available in the BIOS:

Right-click the Powerpanel icon in the system tray.
Click Edit/Create Profiles, then double-click Thermal Control Strategy-Performance.
    Change the settings to Quiet.
    -----------------

But.... i haven't Thermal Control Strategy's options in my BIOS... :-(
and i haven't Thermal Control Strategy-Performance's option in the Powerpanel... :-(

Anyone could help me or anyone had the same issue ?
    Thanks,

    Hi, I'm French too :)

And I have same problem with the fan of my Vaio VGN-FS215M. He starts after 2 minutes and then never stops... Compared with the Acer TravelMate I use at work my Vaio is a little much more more noisy (as the fan is always running..).

The thing amazing is that there isn't any (official) way to fix this problem...

Have you tried doing a BIOS update? Download and flash the latest one from Sony - BIOS updates often fix hardware issues, so maybe that will help.

Using some tools like RMClock reduce your CPU voltage can help.
I have VAIO S45SP (which is comparable to S360). With [email protected], Fan can go off sometime. If your tasks don't require much power processor, try [email protected]. It can be more quite (but that :noisyfan: still run from time to time).
    Hope this might help.

    Anyway, I'm not French :p
