    Hey all,

I have been looking into the new f12 that came out, the f129 or whatever. I had a few questions. Has anybody gotten one of these yet? If so do you like it? Is it better than the F11? Has anybody tried to upgrade the graphics card? Is this possible? (f11 owners too) How is the laptop over all on battery?

Thanks for the questions. Right now it is between the viao and the Aleinware M15x.

it's fairly new and people are only just getting them...i should be getting mine tomorrow..it's not better in the sense that it has new features compared to the f11 but (dont quote me on this) some of the problems that the f11 had are now solved on the f12 (such as the the mic problem and the fan noise problem none of which affect performance btw)..

the graphics card is soldered on so there's no way of changing it..

with regards to battery life considering how its pretty much a beast dont expect anything longer than 2 hours on light usage (wi fi on screen brightness lowered web browsing sort of stuff)

also since youre considering an alienware laptop i'll assume youre into gaming..the 330m on the vaio is capable of running most games at 720p easily without really getting rid of the eye candy (medium settings at minumum) and can even run some at games 1080 quite easily..

take a look at these for more info regarding games:

personally i cant stand the looks of the alienware and i think the sony has the perfect balance between looks, performance and price although you might think im a bit biased i dont think youll regret buying the sony
