I'm thinking of buying a Sony Vaio but am a little bit OCD when it comes to having software on my computer that I don't want or need and am aware that Vaios tend to come pre-installed with Vaio software.

Is it possible, using the master CDs, to format the laptop and install just bare bones Vista without any of the additional Sony software or is it impossible to do so?!?!?!?

    Looking at spending around £1000.

    Any advice appreciated.

    Thanks
