This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Third European S5-model - yes it's silver

    Although not officially announced yet there will be a silver S5-series model besides the two announced black models S5XP and S5HP in Europe. (since there is no customizing in European Sonystyle-Shops this might me a crucial point for some). The so-called S5M will be a low-spec model which is targeted to the consumer market. It features the P-M 740 (1,73Ghz), 512 MB RAM, GeForce Go 6400 and DL DVD+/-RW, but Win XP Home.

    But black looks better imo.

    Guess its a matter of taste. I prefer the silver one. At least you have a choice!
