Okay, so the fingerpad on my laptop goes really lame when I try to install a mouse. The side scroller and the top scroller/forward/back function stops working and I have NO IDEA how to configure it back :( :( :( Going into control panel and then mouse settings doesn't work, unless I'm missing something.. Everytime I reformat my computer it works again.. lol.. BUT I'm hoping I don't have to do that again in order to get it back!

Much appreciation in advance for the help..

Did the extra mouse you tried to install include software? If it did and you installed it, uninstall and reboot. If your touchpad still doesn't work, use the VAIO Recovery Wizard from within Windows to reload the touchpad drivers.

yeah it did, and i already did uninstall it.

i don't know how to pick which drivers to reinstall from the VAIO recovery wizard.. i've never actually run it, except to just reformat all together
