I am on the verge of ordering a tx651 (from a reseller since Sony no longer makes it).
I am hesitating becasue of these new Vaios released with new chips. I am OK with a computer being outdated within 6 months but not before I buy it.

What do you all think? I need an ultraportable, is there going to be a Intel duo ultraportable introduced in the next month?

    Help me!!!

No, core duo will take longer to hit ultra ports.

I would wait until the new SZ series comes out. The high end model is under 4 pounds. It is more powerful and about the same price.

What do you mean the TXs are already discontinued? These just came out a while back!
Anyways, go check out www.siliconpopculture.com, theres a forum there full of TX users.

They still make the TX just not the TX651, which is the only one without the WAN.

    Thank you for the link.
