    To those who can get audio over HDMI on Z in Windows 7

    Could you post which versions of the graphics driver, shared library, event service, and setting utility series you are running? Also, could you verify that your brightness setting works in speed mode? I greatly appreciate it.

    My audio does not work by default when connecting the HDMI cable, but i just have to change the playback device to hdmi under sound options in the action tray.

    Running Win7 64 bit, the brightness does not work in speed mode. I am not at my vaio z right now so can not verify the program versions.

    That's the only way I can get it to work, too- with the Vista drivers that break brightness controls in speed mode. I'm guessing you are also using them as brightness doesn't work for you.

    Anyone who uses the Win 7 drivers, has HDMI audio working, and has brightness controls in speed?? I need to get both working otherwise I will have to go back to Vista.

    i have it working 100%.

    NVIDIA: 8.15.11.8684 (off sony EU site)
    BIOS R4043
    event service 5.0

    basically, i did all the correct update steps to get brightness working in SPEED, and then i installed the newest HDMI audio drivers from the realtek site, and it worked after that. this was several months ago though so i don't remember exactly which ones.
