    - You need to reinstall nVidia 341.74 drivers, because are not signed won't allow them directly. Disable signed drivers on W10 and reinstall patched with INF driver patcher v4.7.

    - Windows 10 doesn't preserve all your previous configuration. For example, the unsigned graphic drivers weren't allowed directly. It reset also the default web browser to Microsoft Edge

    - By default it has enabled some options that may regard privacy issues, like sharing certaing things with Microsoft. I don't think such thinks should be enabled by default.

    - Third party web browsers look ugly the graphical interface, like chrome, firefox, Maxthon...

-IAStorDataMgrSvc.exe is using 24% of CPU

    - SearchIndexer.exe is using another 24% of CPU

    - Can't launch Intel Rapid Storage from system tray, it shows a warning triangle and the windows doesn't shown even after clicking on Open Application

    - Trying to update the "Intel® Rapid Storage Technology (Intel® RST) RAID Driver" from official website just fails (running SetupRST.exe)

Sony has informed users to NOT upgrade to Windows 10 as they have not yet provided any Windows 10 compatible drivers & software as mentioned here:

I see, but I doubt Sony will update its drivers for the Z1. That page is for all models.

You tried to install an old Intel driver. You can find the newest one (14.5.xxxx) here: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/55005/Intel-Rapid-Storage-Technology-Intel-RST-
That one is Win 10 compatible.

Did you find any noticeable improvement after installing the new RST driver? I had the HDD model Z1; I replaced the HDD with a 2.5" SSD, so I do not have RAID.

Just sharing my Win10 upgrade experience with a VPZ13M9E (without a BIOS hack).
Sony original driver was not needed for me.
All you have to do is enter TEST mode or disable driver signing through Win10 settings.
Andrew driver works (I did install it on Win7 compatibility and admin just to be sure).
Other Drivers I installed (all on Win7 compatibility and admin) not in this order:
    -Intel chipset (latest from Intel)
    -Intel ME
    -Intel RST (latest from Intel)
    -Intel Turbo Boost
    -Intel WLAN (latest from Intel)
-Ricoh Memory Stick and SD card
    -Sony Setting Utility Series
    -Sony Shared Library
    -Sony Firmware Extension Parser
    -Sound (latest from Realtek)
    -VAIO control center
    -VAIO event service
    -VAIO location utility
    -VAIO power management
    -VAIO Smart Netwotk
    -WWAN

I have only a minor "bug". When I am opening my laptop the graphics are not setup correctly. It can either start in a black screen or boot normally switching ability. A restart or a log off- log on fixes this always and restores normal operation and switching ability. This only happens on a normal boot after a full shutdown. This never happens on a restart. I am currently trying to figure out which driver or service is failing in this situation. Will repost if I find something useful.

All other features work as Win7 (auto brightness-Volume and brightness buttons-other buttons).
I only miss the fingerprint on power up, but I think that Protector Suite in incompatible with Win8.1 and Win10

    Thanks for the info.
No1 is fixed. I turned fast start off and now the driver works as intended every time. Nice. Also I learned some things about fast start in the process (I was on Win7, so I did not have it).
No2 is tricky... Will report back

I also fixed the fingerprint reader.
I used the 2.21 package driver (1.9.2.204) and then the protector suite (5.9.8.7279).
    Thanks again

Thanks for the updates. Anyone solved the issues with third party web browsers that the interface looks ugly? Like old school or something.

Just to be clear. This is the non-WBF version of Protector suite and it works like it was in Win7 with the exception of power-on security (I do not know why).
The WBF version refuses to install even with WBF-enabled drivers...
My main problem is gone (switchable on the fly graphics), so I am really OK with Win10 now...

    @papaFX
Somehow, I didn't need to install Protector Suite. To get the fingerprint working, I went to settings > sign-in options > PIN (you need to enter one to activate fingerprint under Windows Hello) > Windows Hello (add a fingerprint). Did this in stamina mode. Let me know if this works on your end. Good luck.

I have a feeling that you will, soon. Windows Update installs a 'better' driver that breaks this.

    My current understanding in this:
-In order to use "Windows Hello" you only need a WBF driver. This will give you the ability to use fingerprint logon only configurable through Windows 10 Settings
-In order to use all the other settings (i.e. encrypted file safe, remembering app passwords, strong pass generator) you need Protector Suite. A WBF driver is not working for me. Only version 1.9.2.178 can work with PS.I found out that the power-on security was my fault. I had disabled it through the BIOS in order to upgrade to Win10 and forgot to re-enable it.

If this is true you can simply prevent a certain install by using a utility MS made available recently (just search it). I use it to block the Intel HD driver. Hope this helps.

Could you post a screenshot? I get lost in the country selection thing - I have no idea what you're seeing.

Basically I see a lot of countries to choose from. They all show the same but the language is translated. Once on each country there's a list of computers to choose, but I only see VPCZ2, no Z1 anywhere. Probably never will get the official update.

We never got the official update to Windows 8 either, so what else is new? I ran Windows 8 when it came out, then Windows 8.1. Now I'm running Windows 10. I have more faith in this forum than in Sony.

More stuff that I had to do (very annoying):

    1) Disable fast startup:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Power

    HiberbootEnabled DWORD

0 = Turn off fast startup
1 = Turn on fast startup

    http://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/4189-fast-startup-turn-off-windows-10-a.html

    2) Disable hibernation:
Start -> cmd -> Run as administrator -> powercfg -h off

    http://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/2859-hibernate-enable-disable-windows-10-a.html

    3) Disable Windows Store (wsappx.exe), that was eating almost 100% CPU for no reason:

Go to Windows Powershell and run as Administrator:

    Get-AppxPackage *WindowsStore* | Remove-AppxPackage

    http://superuser.com/questions/957813/can-i-turn-off-or-disable-store-app-from-windows-10

    4) Install DoNotSpy10 to disable and/or remove junk and unwanted settings and software. Note that there are two version, one is free to download but contains adware and the other doesn't however requires a donation.
