    Hello,
I want to toggle the functionality of the Fn key on my VAIO SC laptop. I think it should be common across most recent vaio laptops. Does anyone know how to do this?

What I want is - for example. to increase volume, I should just be able to press the F4 key rather than Fn+F4. Similarly, for brightness, I should just be able to press F6 rather than fn+F6. Obviously, to get the functionality of the actual function keys, (say F1), i'd press fn+F1.

This is to mimic the behavior of the keyboard control keys on say the macbook pro or the new dells. I find the use of the actual function keys is much less now compared to using the media controls.

The fn key is not directly addressable thru the OS, but I was hoping someone knows of a way to either do a complete swap or a bios hack.
