Can somone tell me which is better and why? I'm sure everyone is going to say Z because this is the Sony forum, but I want to know why one is better than the other.

Vaio Z = top of the line design, top of the line engineering, quad SSD options, carbon fiber, 1080p optional, 13 inch powerhouse while still have 3+ hours of battery life.

Yes and yes I think, yet Dorifto88's points still hold. And I'll add: discrete + integrated graphics for Z, and only integrated graphics for R600 and R500.

Okie i just look up on the spec of R500.. and i would not recommend this notebook.
I wouldnt want a laptop with U7600 and only 1 slot with max RAM is 2Gig (ddr2 as well) and using Intel 950 for graphic.
So Z is better choice in my opinion

+1 for the new Z1 as well. It is quite the beast in terms of hardware specs. I don't think there is any laptop in the ultraportable range in terms of overall performance that comes close to the new Z. The only thing I don't like with the Z, however, is the flimsy screen (but it's sturdier than the older Z).
