    Hello, my first post here.

Where to find cable connecting touchpad to MBO without buying whole new touchpad assembly? Any chance that anyone have that thing around here? Of course, now my status leds aren't working too.

    Thanks for answers.

Where did the cable break? Right at the touchpad or in the middle? Is it one of those thin ribbon-type ones that have the conductors exposed on one side at the end? I think it is called "flat flex cable".

Yes. That flat cable got broken on the connector pluggin' in the MBO. http://www.nexttronics.com/ wants 55$ for the whole new touchpad. Insane.

If your cable is still long enough, it's easy to fix the problem.
Cut it at the broken end and then use a razor to scratch the cable to exposure the pin about 2mm. Now you have a new cable without paying anything.
