Every so often the trackpad on my SZ laptop will go crazy and will shoot all over the screen and close windows and sometimes not work properly altogether. I have to let it be for 5 seconds or so before it will go back to "normal". Has anyone else had this problem and how do I fix it?

I dont know, I personnally experience another problem...
After viewing videos on some sites like megavideo or veoh on fullscreen I loose the ability to "click" using trackpad, have to use the buttons...
The feature comes back after a few minutes or after a restart...

Hi Jackshadow, I've also experienced this issue on a number of Vaios inc FS & BX models. After a few minutes of manic spinning around the screen and opening of windows apps the system settles down again and seems stable until the next time it occurs. I'm sure it's an Alps driver issue but the Sony Eu site didn't show any available updates for this particular driver?

All my drivers should be up to date, I check enery now and then to make sure. I've owned my sz for about 6 months now and this has been a problem for a while.

Does anyone has a solution to this problem?
