    Hi
I have a Vaio fw21L with Windows 7 x64 Ultimate installed. I had all the vaio software such as Control Centre and Event service installed but that was installed before Windows 7 was released i.e they were for Vista. So yesterday I decided to update the software. I downloaded the 7Upgrade versions of the software from vaio link and installed them. It went ok but when I restarted the laptop the trackpad stopped working about 10 seconds into login.

I have reinstalled the drivers but it still does not work. when the driver is instalelled it says under device manager that there is a PS/2 vaio trackpad.

Can anyone help me get the trackpad working again?

    Thanks

I just booted Linux to see if it worked in it but it gives an error saying it could not load to GUI because it could not find a pointing device.
If it is a driver problem then does it affect all OS's?
