    Hey

    Ive just got my sony vaio and replaced the 500go hdd for a 180 ssd and whenever i try to install win 7 i got this message :

    "a required cd / dvd drive device is missing. if you have a driver floppy disk, cd, dvd, or usb flash drive, please insert it now."

    im booting from an usb key so i dont understand

    i thought it could be an ahci problem but sony bios wont let me do anything :/

    help please first day first problems :(

    Had the same issue. Easy solution is not to use a usb 3.0 port for the usb key.
    Use the 2.0, and it won't ask for a driver.
