So I'm at a loss and am very frustrated - not sure if this is the right form to post for help, so I appreciate your guidance.
I'm in the process of replacing the fan for a friend's Sony PCG-3E2L laptop. I have successfully unscrewed all the laptop screws except the last one (heatsink duct on top of the processor - see picture).
As you can tell, the screw is pretty much busted (mainly because I kept at it trying to unscrew it - I know, rookie mistake!!). I'm using a #3 screw which worked on every other screw on the laptop except this one. It keeps slipping. Any ideas on what to do to get this unscrewed? Any recommended screw driver sets I can order to help with this? Appreciate any guidance. Thanks.

I know this is from a few days ago, but did you try putting a rubber band between the screw and the screwdriver?

Thank you for getting back to me - I know this isn't a usual question we ask on these forums. I'm travelling and will be back home tomorrow to try the rubber band. Will keep you posted. Thanks.

Just an update... The rubberband worked. Thank you and + rep.
