    Trying to connect Vaio toTV via HDMI but once I connect the HDMI chord to the vaio it crashes.

    Yes, I have the lastest video driver.

    (nVidia GeForce 8400M GT) (7.15.11.5665)

    there's no new updates for the driver I checked on the SONY site and everything.

    Their isn't a new driver for this.

    There is... They work with ALL recent (last few years) nVidia GPU's. There are instructions. Follow them. Install.

    This might be a Windows caused driver issue.
    What I had - connect Cannon 400D to laptop, switch on - works fine.
    Later on, connect camera, switch it on and then the computer crashes.

    In the meantime I had installed a Windows Update...

    You might just want to reinstal the driver you have in case Windows messed with it.

    I haven't uninstalled the driver but everytime I try to reinstall the driver it says this only works on Windows VISTA when I CLEARLY have vista.
