    Trying to do recovery keep getting: missing \windows\system32\config\system (VGNN160G)

    Ok here is a brief history of whats goin on

    Tried to do recovery from the partition (would not work)
    ordered recovery discs from sony (would not work), after going through the whole process got

    so i tried installing my own XP pro, got it to work for a while, got all drivers installed and everything was fine, but then it just shut down and i got the same error as above

    could this just be a bad Hard drive?
