I'm looking for something that will enable me to edit digital video (HD if possible), perhaps do some gaming, has HDMI, and has a screen 15 or bigger.

I've been looking at the various combinations on Tiger Direct and I honestly am crosseyed from trying to figure out the best combination in my price range. (I could go to $800 if necessary).

    Any suggestions?

Do you HAVE to have a sony? Sony's like the Apple of the PC world, there's a Brand tax on them making only their high-end laptops worth the price, for $700/800 there's better options out there like Acer's 4820tg, but it's got a 14" screen, but it's graphics card is very capable (more so than the Vaio Z's 330m)

In any case, any laptop with an i5 + decent graphics card would suit you. Most, if not all, current laptops have HDMI unless you put your money in the money sink known as Apple (JK :p) Try the What notebook should i buy forum:
