I bought COD2 for my Vista laiden AR570, finding information around the net saying that I could install and run it without any problem.

I've tried installing it, but it only crashes when I boot it up from the main menu. I've tried running it as the administrator, also added the patch (1.3) and disabled my firewalls and antivirus while trying to load and run the program. Some other tricks tried, too, but no luck.

Many have had success running this game on Vista, I'm stuck and frustrated right now.

Does anyone here on the forum have any advice about what needs to be done to allow the game to run correctly? Do I need to update my drivers for my video card or something to make it run and not crash? If so, a little direction would be really appreciated.

    Thanks in advance everyone.

The laptop is mine, no one else registered as a user. Do I still need to turn something off, and if so, where at?

    Thanks.
