    Hey everyone.

First off, I have zero experience when it comes to disassembling notebooks. However, my Vaio F24 (Model #: VPCF24C5E) has been having heating issues lately and a friend of mine said I really have to clean the fan (which I suppose is true, after 1,5 years of heavy use).

So I started disassembling the laptop using this guide: Sony Laptop Heatsink Cleaning/Replacement - YouTube , I also came across the manuals for Vaio laptops on this forum, but the listed F-models don't come really close to my own model.

However, when I want to remove the cover, it seems to be stuck at one specific point near the SD port. No matter how much force I apply, it just won't get off. But there are no screws left to unscrew (Yes, I checked :p). I've put some photos in this imgur album:

The whole area at the SD port and wifi switch are unmovable.

So, does anyone else have experience with this specific model? Is there some kind of ledge I have to push or whatever? I'm scared to death to break the whole thing, definitely not something I want when on a student budget.
