If I turn off the wireless connection by using the sliding switch in my Sony SZ notebook, does it mean that the wireless is turned off in hardware and therefore nobody can hack into my system by wireless mean?

    Thanks in advance!

well your safe because hackers dont usualy hack into your laptop on the wireless band they get on the same network then get stuff. make sure you got yoru updates and keep a firewall on.
