I have a Sony S series running windows 7. In order to install disc incription software on my computer I have to boot the compiuter in 'legacy' mode. When I change the setting in the bios and reboot my computer it says 'operatin system not found'. Any suggestions?

Os only runs either under UEFI or Legacy, not both. If you install OS under UEFI, it won't run under Legacy and vice versa.

    Apart from that:
Under UEFI, your harddisk is probably also partitioned differently (GPT).
This layout is not recognized in case of UEFI boot.
